Horizontal Watercolor Planner – Good Day Sunshine

Have you ever wanted to try watercolors in your planner? Be bold!

Watch the video on YouTube.

This was my first time trying watercolor in the Recollections horizontal spiral planner. It was okay. It doesn’t take the water as well as my Happy Planner. The paper ended up with a bit of a texture and warping, though the backs of the pages didn’t show any bleed through.

I like to use the horizontal set-up when I have a lighter week. The pages are the same size, but it feels like less room – especially if you have a long to-do list!

The watercolors I’m using in this video are Sargent Art with Artist’s Loft brushes. I love the vibrancy of these watercolors. They can be pretty opaque so I thinned the colors quite a bit to still see the planner lines.
